permanent login/logout on gtalk when using Gtalk shell

I have a strange problem with GTalk :
this problem appears only in the following conditions :
a) on a single PC
b) using my own Windows account to connect to Windows XP on this PC
c) and when starting Gtalk thru Gtalk Shell ; the problem does not appear with the Gtalk client itself
d) the problem appears whatever the GTalk user used

I have tried to uninstall Gtalk Shell and Gtalk and reboot; nothing changed, even after trying to clean the Windows registry by hand with all the Gtalk SHell occurences

Here is the problem description :
I have been using Gtalk with Gtalk Shell for more than 1 year without any problem on 2 PCs
(my home PC and my work PC)
now, when I logon to GTalk from my home PC (Windows XP) on my own
Windows account, the connection is OK and I can chat normally at the
beginning, but, 2 things occur, after 2 or 3mns :
a) the web browsing over Internet becomes quite slow, just after
logging to GTalk; when I trace, via WireShark, what occurs over my
Internel link, I notice that my GTalk client is continuously sending
TCP request to Gtalk server ; as it is encrypted via SSL, no way to
know what are those requests; if I do the same trace on another PC
(connected to the same INternet access), once the GTalk login has completed,
no such TCP exchange takes place in idle state;
those TCP requests results in an average upload throughput of 200kbps,
which explains the slow web browsing; as soon as I logoff from Gtalk,
the problem disappears;
b) after some mns (5 to 10mns) of Gtalk logon in such a state, the
Gtalk connection does not stop to disconnect/reconnect, at least once
per second, and from then, there is no way to chat of course with GTalk

If I login to Gtalk from this same PC, but using another Windows
account, the problem does not occur; so, it seems there is something
wrong on my own Windows account which produces the problem;

Any idea will be very appreciated

Could u clarify the following things:
1.Does your problem occur without using Gtalk Shell?
2.If it does occur only when using Gtalk shell, could u check that have you enabled the dynamic avatars?

The only possible gtalk shell will use network is the dynamic avatars

If any question, feel free to ask

Hello,
great !
you found the problem !
actually, the "enable slide" option was set for the avatar ( i probably made a wrong setting some weeks ago, without noticing it)
and the interval was set to 1sec, and there was only one avatar pic in my list ;
so, I did not really see the effect of sliding those avatars, but the Gtalk server does not like that at all, this is for sure ;

thanks again for your suggestion
